Fox Orthograph Progress
While these are not completed yet, I can now begin creating the models in Maya. We still need a few more pieces such as side views of the fox sitting and some profile views of the head, but I can at least begin the modelling process for the other pieces.
Pikatti Animatic v.2 With Sound
We are currently in the process of changing parts of our script and changing/adding/removing some storyboard panels but this is the sound for our current animatic. After we make some changes, the sounds can be moved around again to fit the new animatic. We haven't added any music, we are unsure if adding music will make it too much considering parts of the soundscape are already musical but we are planning to experiment with it to see.

Sound Design Progress
Even though our animatic and script still require some adjustments, I've decided to begin editing and piece together the sound effects I've been gathering up over the last few weeks. This is only a small portion of our animatic and it sill needs some other details such as the jingle of the dog's name-tag, but I figured I'd post an update on the progress I've made so far. It's taking me a while to sort out some audio for the boy (which is not all featured in this clip, I'm hoping I've made/edited all of the clips that I will need) but I think it's come out alright. We are hoping that the sound will clarify some aspects of the story including explaining the collar belonged to his dog who passed away. I also have begun working on sounds for the fox, which I am hoping will help the audience know that there is a difference between the boy's dead dog and the fox.

@Phil @Alan - Animatic v.2 (No Sound)
Here is the second version of our animatic. We've fixed the montage sequence and we've also changed some of the zooms into cuts (forgive some of the zoom lines/panels are still in the frames even though it doesn't zoom). We are concerned about the length of the animatic but we were hoping to get some feedback regarding this to see if there are any definite bits that could be changed or removed or if this length is fine. Once this is approved then I will continue to work on some soundscapes and other sounds to put over this animatic.

Miki Texturing Progress
I plan on finishing up texturing Miki tomorrow, I still have to finish up his eyes and mouth. Creating bleeds for these textures was rather difficult because of the patterns but I think I did a reasonable job on them so far. After I finish up the textures I just have to assemble him then send him off to be rigged and skinned.
Miki Orthographs
Here are the orthographs for Miki, we are currently in the process of making more expressions (eyes/mouth) and possibly creating another version of the arms with a clenched hand.

Pikatti Animatic Version 1 (No Sound)
This is the first version of our animatic, we are still planning on taking out some of the zooms and replacing them with cuts. We are also making some more frames so the montage at 1:10-1:16 makes more sense within our animatic. After that, the next step is to add our soundscapes and some other sound effects.

After Effects Shadow Test
For this test I decided to use the zombie from the 2D Character Rigging Tutorials because this is how we plan on making our animation. After I followed a video online guiding me on how to make the shadows in After Effects I made a few changes on my own which include reducing the opacity a bit more because I thought the shadow was too dark and adding a blur to it. I also added a film grain over the whole thing just to make it look a little less clean.
